Dee’s Vegan Chia Chocolate Mousse

28 May Dee's Vegan Chocolate Chia Mousse

This is so easy to make and can be whizzed up in a matter of seconds.

2 tablespoons of milled chia (I used Chia Bia)

1 tin of coconut milk

3 tablespoons of cocoa

a pinch of sea salt (I use Irish Atlantic Sea Salt)

1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

5 pitted dates (chopped)

1 tablespoon of sweetener ( I used a mixture of maple syrup, agave nectar and high bank orchard apple syrup) keep tasting it until it is to your desired sweetness).

Add all these ingredients to a food processer and whizz up!  Pour into 4 small serving bowls or 2 tea-cups, chill and serve.

Add raspberries, strawberries or kiwis when serving.  Deliciously tasty and healthy too!

Chia is a fantastic seed and is an excellent energy booster and are known as the “running seed” as the carbohydrates present in the seeds break down slowly and the Omega Oils boost mental energy too.  Chia is great for inner cleansing as it contains both soluble and insoluble fibre and can be a helpful ingredient in preventing digestive disorders.  However, if you are not used to eating chia, please remember to drink extra water as the soluble fibre absorps water.
